These terms govern the use of the GraceTranslate website and service. A specific quote, order, or contract may contain additional terms that take precedence for that particular service.
The service
GraceTranslate provides real-time voice translation and live captions for churches. A speaker talks into a phone or sends audio from a church mixer. Listeners scan a QR code, choose a language, and hear translated speech and see captions on their own phones. The relevant service page and any accepted quote or order describe the exact scope, access, support, and available features.
The service depends on the quality of the input audio, internet connection, devices, and other technical conditions. The user is responsible for providing the agreed audio access, suitable devices, and a reliable internet connection.
Who may use the service
Anyone who orders or uses the service on behalf of an organization confirms that they are authorized to accept these terms for that organization. The information the user provides should be accurate and complete enough for GraceTranslate to provide the service.
Permitted use
You may use the service only lawfully and in accordance with the rights of others. You must not:
- submit audio, text, or other content for which you do not have the necessary rights or permissions;
- use the service for unlawful, misleading, threatening, or harmful content;
- interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the service;
- attempt unauthorized access to the service's systems, data, or features;
- circumvent technical limitations or use the service in a way that may put other users at risk.
The church or organization using the service is responsible for informing listeners about the processing of audio and other data it sends to the service and for ensuring that it has an appropriate legal basis to do so.
Ordering and payment
The price, billing period, taxes, payment deadline, and any additional costs are stated in the accepted quote, order, or invoice. The user is required to pay undisputed amounts within the stated deadline.
If payment is late, GraceTranslate may, after notice where reasonably possible, temporarily suspend the service until outstanding amounts are paid. Cancellation and refund rules are stated in the quote or order.
Translation accuracy
The translation is produced by automatic speech processing and may contain errors, especially with unclear audio, names, technical terms, or overlapping speech. The user should assess whether the service is appropriate for each sermon, worship service, meeting, or other church activity and arrange human review when required by law, safety concerns, or the nature of the content.
GraceTranslate is not a substitute for a certified translation or professional advice. Decisions that may significantly affect rights, health, safety, or obligations should not be based solely on automatic translation.
Content and rights
The user retains the rights to the content they submit. The user grants GraceTranslate limited permission to process that content only to provide, protect, and support the contracted service.
The user confirms that they have the rights and permissions required for such processing. Rights to the website, software, design, and other parts of the service that are not user content belong to their respective holders and are not transferred by these terms.
Privacy and confidentiality
How personal data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. GraceTranslate and the church or organization must agree to any special confidentiality or data processing arrangement before the service begins.
Liability
Each party is responsible for meeting its obligations under these terms and for any liability imposed by applicable law. GraceTranslate is not liable for interruptions or errors caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including problems with the user's equipment, connection, audio source, or third-party services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Specific liability rules for a particular service may be set out in a contract.
Suspension and termination
The user may stop using the service and terminate the relationship in accordance with the accepted quote or contract. GraceTranslate may suspend or terminate the service if the user materially breaches these terms, fails to pay amounts when due, uses the service unlawfully, or creates a serious security risk.
Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach before suspension or termination. Termination does not affect obligations that have already arisen. After the relationship ends, data is retained or deleted as described in the Privacy Policy and required by law.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the service, our business practices, or applicable regulations change. The updated version and the date of the change will be published on this page. If a change materially affects current users, we will notify them in an appropriate way.
