Answers for your team, before and during the service

Find setup guides, joining tips, billing explanations, and audio fixes. For the fastest answer mid-service, search the docs right inside the app.

Search the docs while you serve

The fastest way to find an answer during a live service is the in-app help. Open https://app.gracetranslate.com, sign in, and use the search box at the top of the help panel. It covers setup, joining, languages, billing, and the most common audio fixes.

This page is the overview. Pick a topic below, skim the common questions, or contact support if you are stuck before or during a service. We answer with churches in mind, so plain language and quick steps, never jargon for its own sake.

  • Setting up your first service and choosing a source language
  • Helping listeners scan the QR code and pick a language
  • Understanding language-hours on your bill
  • Fixing audio when captions or voice fall quiet

Getting started

Create your church, run a sound check, pick the source language, and start your first session. A short walkthrough for pastors, admins, and AV volunteers.

QR codes and joining

Where to display the QR code, how listeners scan it on their own phones, and how they choose any of 90 languages on demand. No app install required for them.

Languages and voices

How the 90 languages work, choosing the natural AI voice, and what to expect from live captions running a few seconds behind the speaker.

Billing and language-hours

What a language-hour is (one language interpreted for one hour), how plans and overage rates apply, and how to track usage and your $200 starter credit.

Troubleshooting audio

Fix silent voice output, captions that stop updating, microphone selection, and connection drops. Quick checks you can run mid-service.

Account and security

Manage your team, sign-in, roles for operators and admins, and how your service audio and data are handled.

Common questions

Do listeners need to download anything?
No. Listeners scan the QR code with their phone camera, the page opens in their browser, and they pick a language. Nothing to install and nothing to create an account for.
Which language does the operator choose?
The operator picks only the source language, meaning the language the speaker is talking in. Listeners then turn on any of the 90 available languages on their own phones, on demand.
How is GraceTranslate billed?
Billing is by language-hour: one language interpreted for one hour. Each plan includes a set number of language-hours, and any extra hours bill at your plan's overage rate. New churches that get in touch receive $200 in free credit.
There is no voice or the captions stopped. What do I check first?
Confirm the session is live in the app, check that the correct microphone is selected, and make sure the device has a stable internet connection. On the listener side, ask them to refresh the page and re-select their language. The Troubleshooting audio topic above has the full checklist.
How many languages and how reliable is the service?
Listeners can choose from 90 languages, with over 1,000 hours of services delivered. You can check live system status on the status page at any time.
